Shadow Array Sculpture at DIA

 

This large scale public art piece adorns the new light rail terminal at the south terminal redevelopment of the Denver International Airport.  The piece consists of a regular march of cantilevered logs along both embankments of the terminal approach.  Progressive changes in cantilever length lends a dynamic interest to the piece as passengers arrive by train.  Colorado beatle-kill logs are a primary source of material.

 

Equinox Sculpture

 

Equinox was not just engineered, but also fabricated and erected by KL&A, Inc.  In addition, Doug Rutledge of KL&A contributed to the artistic conception of the piece.  This sculpture in Loveland, Colorado is built from common structural steel shapes and highlights symbols from the region's past and present.

Private Hangar (Blue Ocean Hangar)

 

25,000 sf hangar, with adjacent 13,000 sf 3 story office building. Hangar is a pre-engineered metal building, office space is conventional steel framing.

 

Colorado Plains Medical Center

 

This 68,000 sf project consists of new medical offices, a new emergency medical services entrance and a new lobby/administration area for the Fort Morgan Hospital.  Work also consisted of relocation and/or construction of MRI facilities and x-ray services.  The project was carefully scheduled to avoid interrupting day to day operations of the facility.

Windsor Mill

 

Windsor Mill is a 4 story brick and heavy timber building with stone foundations that was built in the late 1800’s. It was damaged by a tornado in 2008. The approximate square footage is 26,000, and the scope will include rebuilding the 3rd and 4th floor, as well as updating the foundations for a full basement. The planned use for the building is a mix of restaurant, brewery, bar, and general office. It is a historic building.

Renaissance School
