KL&A's Comittment to Net Zero
KL&A was an early signatory to the SE2050 Challenge in 2020. The SE2050 Challenge is a structural engineering industry commitment to reduce embodied carbon in structures and construction to zero by 2050.

As part of our commitment, we have contributed Life Cycle Assessments to the SE2050 database and created our Embodied Carbon Action Plan, which can be downloaded below:

Platte Fifteen Life Cycle Assessment
Case Study
On behalf of Thinkwood and Woodworks, KL&A Engineers and Builders published a Life Cycle Assessment case study which illustrates the embodied carbon benefits of mass timber construction and its relationship to cost and speed of construction.

The full case study can be found here.
